The purpose of the guide is to establish the process of introducing new employees to the organization’s environment and culture.
¶ Responsibilities
¶ Line Manager
- Line Manager to raise internal request support ticket to onboard user, with link to the onboarding confluence doc for the user.
- Line manager raise support ticket with Door IT (it@doorfunds.com) to say to add email for the user. Ticket should mention what email groups and active directory groups to be added to, eg Door Liverpool, Door-Development, etc. All Staff should be added to “Door-All” group by default.
- Line manager to email new starter to their personal non-door email with door email details and initial password provided by AIS.
- Line manager to follow procedure in this document to ensure user has access required, contacting anyone needed to ensure that access can be granted.
*email address format is first initial of first name followed by last name @doorfunds.com e.g mwalters@doorfunds.com for ‘Mark Walters’.

- AWS add to dev group - ensure AWS MFA setup after first login (may need to add permission SelfMFA policy via AWS first)
- AWS api key to add to .aws credentials file for local dev setup

¶ Set up PC
- Create User account - ensure do not connect to the internet, create an admin account, keep credentials safe
- Download MS365 suite using login supplied by Line Manager
- Install Slack
- Install Chrome
- Setup Bookmarks
- VPN setup VPN Access - will need to add IP to VPN SG so can setup client?
- Setup Vault Access
- Apply updates

- DevOps setup AWS account and provide details
- Test AWS Account with 2FA
- Test Jira Account
- Follow dev setup doc Development Setup
- DBeaver or MySQL Workbench
- Test VPN
- Contact Alliance for security software and registration (Door IT it@doorfunds.com)
- Read infosec policies
- LM check if need any equipment for working from home
- Invite to team standups and Regular company townhalls
